I have loved making art since childhood and have worked at various times in drawing, oils, watercolor, sculpture and printmaking. As I've grown older, the effort to "go with the flow" is an ongoing lesson in painting as in life. In watercolor especially, if I can loosely suggest rather than define the subject, I feel it opens a dialogue with the viewer and allows them to bring their own thoughts and emotions to the conversation. That communication between minds, hearts and souls has always been the essence of true art to me.
